Chronic pelvic pain is pain that persists for more than three months and may affect your pelvis, lower abdomen, bladder, bowel, hips or lower back. It can have a significant impact on your daily activities, relationships, exercise, work and emotional wellbeing. Conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, painful bladder syndrome, pelvic floor muscle overactivity and persistent pain after childbirth or surgery can all contribute to ongoing pelvic pain.
We take a whole-person, evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment, consistent with the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) Chronic Pelvic Pain Model of Care. Our goal is to help you understand your pain, reduce symptoms and regain confidence in your body. We work collaboratively with your GP, gynaecologist and other healthcare professionals when required, providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports your long-term health and quality of life.
You do not have to navigate persistent pelvic pain alone. With the right assessment, education and rehabilitation, many women experience meaningful improvements in pain, function and overall wellbeing.
